Hi, do we absolutely must provide a police certificate? I am applying for my citizenship pretty last minute, due to time spent out of Canada being long, and have to apply ASAP so I may not be able to get the police certificate from the country I am in in time for the application.

It is a must and if you don't provide it with your initial application it will only be delayed and an excuse for them to drag it as long as they please so better to submit it upfront.
I don’t mind if it’s delayed because I don’t have an option at this point since my time out of Canada is running out. So, you are saying it’s ok to submit later as long as I am ok with the delay correct?
But if it’s delayed it still counts as me having applied in time so the “days out of Canada” won’t increase due to the delay correct?
You can submit it later and hope they don't return your application as incomplete but give an explanation too. Really depends on the officer.
In the event, that they return the application does that affect the "days present in Canada" as well? I was also going to write in the application that the reason I couldn't send it together is because I am applying for the citizenship very last minute and I couldn't receive my police ceritificate in time (It takes 10 days to receive where I'm at)
