Helping my nephew with student permit application.

Hello Everyone,
I will be helping my nephew so we can fill the study permit application forms. All papers have been arranged.

1. My question is does he need to print any paper, he is filling the form online.
2. How is he going to validate the barcode scan? sorry I have never filled a form online that requires barcode scan. Please help.

Hi Rita,
1. I understand that he'll be filling the form online. If he's applying online, printing the forms are not required. You would use the Adobe Acrobat Reader application to fill the Forms. Other than printing, he would scan relevant documents for his study permit application; such as birth paper, transcripts/academic certifications, etc.

2. Once he has finished filling the form, he would press 'validate'. Once the sections of that form are filled properly, barcode would appear at the end of the file. Don't worry, a barcode will not be generated for the Application for Temporary Resident and Family Information forms, only the Application for a Study Permit Made Outside of Canada.

Yes he said he had filled the family information and has to print it and sign, I thought signing it is on the computer, He can sign it without printing it out? Please i need help?

He can sign the Family Information form without printing it. There is a signing feature in Adobe Reader he can use. Also, it is not mandatory to sign this form because when he’s going to submit his application, he’ll be asked for an electronic signature (he would type his entire name).

Thank you so much, wow the process is crazy. we tried download the form its not working and he downloaded the form and its not still working. We took a break will continue tomorrow.

Your poor nephew can't do his own application? If he is already struggling with this application then I don't know how he will survive in Canada

I know it is not the whole process , all is ok but trying only to download the form. I have read from other people having same issues. \he is not the only one. I myself have tried, maybe its just the windows. I will try again. he knows what to do. You have to tried to help, but not to put him down. Its ok all will be done.
