Hi all,

My spouse and I have received fingerprint request on August 28th, we submitted our fingerprints the next day. My spouse background status changed to completed two weeks ago, mine still stuck in we have received your fingerprints and we will get back to you with results shortly, it has been like this for 12 days now. Anyone experienced similar thing,is there something I should worry about. Your thoughts please

Hi all, Does anyone know if the first Canadian passport can be applied abroad ? Meaning, if one takes oath and travels out, can they apply for their first Canadian passport from lets say US ?

Hi Everyone.
I am having trouble getting a place/booking spot to get my wife's prints taken before our 30 days notice is up and they throw our application out. What is the email address I can contact for Immigration Canada and get some sort of extension on this. We are south eastern Ontario so Hawkesbury, Alexandria etc either don't do them or are only available after our 30 days expire.

Mine took just over 2 weeks to update after they said they received them!

Received my Oath Ceremony email today! - Ceremony date is Oct. 5th - it's a virtual ceremony.

My tracker still shows LPP as In Progress and the last update date as Sept. 8th.

Congrats! I was also expecting to receive news this week, but this confirmed to me that processing times are unpredictable, a colleague was telling me that he waited around 4 months to receive the test invitation, and another 4 months more for the oath, interestingly, my test invitation was only 2 months...

Got my test invite today! My tracker was never updated after background so the invitation email was a total surprise!

Took my test this morning. The questions were much harder that I was anticipating, but I passed! Really study the guide! Feel like a huge weight is off my chest and hope that it proceeds as smoothly and quickly as others have!
