Hello,

Thanks for reading, I really appreciate any help!

I have 1 yr of foreign work experience through through 3 different organization from my home country.

When I used the CRS Calculator I was shown 500+. I am currently sitting at 476 points and my foreign work experience is not counting. I realized I made a mistake with the dates and made the changes a few days back however nothing has changed.

On the "Intended to Work in Canada" portion of the application I mentioned having 1 yr of Canadian work experience that is full-time NOC 12101- Human Resources and Recruitment Officers, and that I worked full-time for at least 1 yr with said employer.

On the next section, " Work History", I added my current role, which is the 1 yr of Canadian work experience I mentioned in the previous section along with the 3 jobs in my home country which total to 1 yr of foreign work experience.

The Jobs I used for Foreign work experience are :

1.Talent Acquisition Assistant: 14102 - Personnel clerks -
2021-032021-07

2.Human Resources Assistant- 14102 - Personnel clerks
2020-122021-03

3.Cafeteria Manager- 60030 - Restaurant and food service managers
2020-072020-12

Below is the break down of my scores:

Maybe reading experience wrong, but I don’t read that you have one year of continuous skilled foreign experience in one NOC.

Hi Natugrl,

This is correct, I don't have 1 year of continuous skilled foreign experience. I have 1 year but it is not continuous and I am certain it does not need to be continuous 1 yr. Is this incorrect?

I thought foreign work experience must be continuous if you want to meet FSW as well as CEC guidelines.

As already discussed, the work needs to be classed as "skilled" , therefore needs to be NOC 0-3.

For CEC, the foreign work experience does not need to be consecutive, and it can be in multiple NOCs (as long as it's 0-3).
So, you would have gotten the points but, as Naturgrl mentions, the issue is your recent work experience is Teer 4.

This is disappointing and I will have to find a way around this.

Thank you for your response Natugril and Shmiler.
There's no way around this. You don't want to be faking your work experience.

You'll need to increase your score in other ways.

I'm definitely not going to be faking my work experience, risky and unnecessary path.

I have 10 months of work experience in the US where I worked as a Behavioural Health Technician, taking care of Special Needs youth. This was a full-time position and seems to fall in NOC 42203 – Instructors of Persons with disabilities, TEER 2. Hopefully, this will be the way around.

As long as you have all Documentation proving you did the job (letter to prove job responsibilities to the NOC, paystubs, taxes) then you should be able to count it.
