Hi,

This is Vijay. I am trying to apply for study permit for my son who is minor. During the process, it asked about 'are you giving someone access to your application' which has the options as below. which one I need to select as I am parent of the minor applicant. Can someone please suggest me on this.

1. Yes, I will be appointing a representative to apply on my behalf
2. Yes, grant authorization for IRCC to release your application information to another person
3. Yes, both appoint a representative and grant authorization to IRCC to release information to another person.
4. No

Since you are applying for your minor son you are the de facto representative. So unless you are using somebody else to do your app or want another person to have access to the application the answer is #4, no.
