I got in a week. You can even go to there office for quick response. My MP had auto-reply set with clear expectations set. Don't expect response if your processing time ETA is not breached etc.

MP email would ask you to sign an authorization form after which they will be able to contact IRCC on your behalf.

My bg check expires on the 14th of October so I expect that to turn back to in progress from complete.
