Hey, everybody.
I am new here and would like to know my first question before applying for a visa in Canada.
I am from USA and we have here to get a visa it is important that your background check is clean and there are no criminal records. My question is, is this as important in Canada? I will give a little backstory:
I recently decided to buy a property in California, but I was denied because my credit report shows deceased. This was very absurd and unexpected to find out because my background check has always been clean and never had a problem with it. This has prevented me from buying a property that I have wanted for a long time. I started a dispute with the credit bureau but could not get justice. I had to seek legal counsel to settle the matter. After a while, I managed to win the dispute and prove that I am a living person, but I still have a mark in my background check. So I am afraid that I may be denied a visa.
What do you think about it? Should I be worried?
