Hello everyone, I’m in Canada and want to apply for an open work permit. I’m a language teacher and teach to different age groups. I have read in www.canada.ca that a medical exam is needed for workers in primary or secondary school settings, or workers in child-care settings. I don’t intend to work in primary or secondary schools, but language schools for children. Do I need to do a medical exam or not? I just want to double check before submittig a medical exam to IRCC. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

    • clinical laboratory workers
    • patient attendants in nursing and geriatric homes
    • medical students admitted to Canada to attend university
    • medical electives and physicians on short-term locums
    • workers in primary or secondary school settings, or workers in child-care settings
    • domestics
    • workers who give in-home care to children, the elderly and the disabled
    • day nursery employees and
    • other similar jobs
