Hello those who applied for study permit its good way to go I got approval and I am in canada I completed my studies and on work permit now
I am from india and hiv patient
If anyone here hiv patient in canada please let me know
I need help for PR application
Anyone hiv patient got approve PR ?

myself Rahul from India, Bangalore age 33 Male - Single. I know that this got to me at an earlier stage +ve but I know my life wont stop here.
I have been HIV positive since last 3 years and have been undetectable on VRLD-0 (untransmittable and undetectable) & CD4 count 800+ and healthy and going to GYM daily and keep myself FIT and strong.

I started the application for student visa for Canada, i got admit but for applying university.
can you suggest me the same please on paper work procedure for +ve person
Kindly share your experience if you face any issue during medical checkup and study permit approval ?

That’s not the case especially in larger provinces. Most HIV+ applicants also usually qualify for PR as long as they have no other health issues and their drug regimen costs under around 20k/ yr

What province you apply to typically has an impact. Students are covered by private student health insurance in some provinces and are covered by provincial insurance in other provinces. Larger provinces tend to provide a better chance of approval because they have better healthcare resources. What school are you applying for?

I am HIV positive. I have applied to PR in Jun 2023. I did cd4 and viral load on my own in My 2023. On the day of my appointment, I disclosed my condition and I brought a Letter from my Doctor explaining my current medical condition + my medication + all the details. After doing the medicals, I did not hear anything for three weeks until the last week of July. I haven't got my PR approved, however, my status says: medical passed on July 26th 2023 .... I hope this helps.

there is no difference

There are some differences in medical consideration for international students and other immigration categories. International students either qualify for provincial healthcare or have to pay for private insurance through their school ir depends on the province. Certain provinces are reluctant to accept students with medical needs because of lack of access to healthcare in many small towns and some provinces lack specialist support pier for certain conditions. How people will pay for things like treatment can also be a factor for students. Not an HIV specific thing. In general Canada expects healthy young international students.and insurance policies through universities only provide a limited amount of coverage and low reimbursement amounts. Really depends on the province and the specific case.
