Hi everyone, I have been working as a postdoc at a university for more than 3 years, but I can't get a renewal. I would like to ask Would obtaining a three-year contract from a different new institution add fifty points to my score?

I'm assuming the new job will be LMIA exempt. Assuming so, you'll only be able to claim the 50 points after you have worked for your employer for a full year.

Yes, the new job will be LMIA exempt. Do you mean the only way I can get 50 points is by renewing my contract with my current University?

So you won't qualify for the 50 points immediately. You need to work for you new employer in Canada for a full year first. Then you would qualify for the 50 points provided they are also willing to give you a letter stating they will continue to employ you for a year after PR.
