I was born in Canada in 1967 to Canadian parents and adopted as a baby by an American family and became a US citizen when I was two years old. Do I have Canadian citizenship also?
And what about my children, do they also have Canadian and US citizenship even if they were born in the US, but because I was born in Canada?

Yes, you still have Canadian citizenship and are a dual citizen. Even if it was lost due to the acquisition of US citizenship in 1969, the 2009 Act retroactively restored it to the date of loss, so under the law today, you never ceased to be a Canadian citizen since birth.

And what about my children, do they also have Canadian and US citizenship even if they were born in the US, but because I was born in Canada?
Yes, your children are also dual citizens. However, they are citizens by descent and will not be able to pass it down to their children automatically as you are able to do for them.

Thanks so much for the information.
Is there paperwork that both myself and my children can request, for documentation that we have dual citizenship?

Your birth certificate is your citizenship document. If you don't have it, then you need to find out which province you were born in and apply for a replacement birth certificate from the provincial government.

As for your children, you need to apply for their proofs of citizenship, which will require your birth certificate.
