Can I Apply for Indian eVisa with Canadian Passport while my surrender application of Indian Passport is in progress ?

Hi,

I have applied for my Indian citizenship and passport surrender. I already have a Canadian passport. I have to go to India due to an emergency.

1) Can I apply for Indian eVisa while my surrender application is in progress?
2) It mentions 4 processing days for eVisa ... is it really 4 days or more ? Any recent experience?

yes, you can apply - you should get it within 4 business days, many folks got in 2 days

-Yes... eVisa is granted on the basis of foreign passport. Even if you have not started or your surrender application is in process, applying and getting the eVisa is not an issue
- Like @CABA its pretty quick the 4 days is a avg processing time. eVisa are approved within a day or 2
