TRV Application Expedited Our PR Sponsorship

Spousal Sponsorship PR application submitted in January 2023. Biometrics and Medical done in April 2023. TRV (Dual Intent) filed in June 2023. No update to either application until August 3rd, 2023 when TRV Eligibility started. Then suddenly everything on PR application was approved and Passport Request received on August 9th, 2023.

I truly feel the TRV application is the reason why the pending PR application was approved in just 6.5 months. I've never seen the Ankara Visa Office approve an Outland application from Iran this quickly. We were bracing ourselves to wait at least 9 or 10 months.

Congratulations! I wonder if there are any others in the same boat. Did you apply for the trv once only? My husband's application has been in process since November. He had applied for a trv before we tried out for family sponsorship and it was rejected, which is why I'm hesitant to go through with the trv process again. However, given the new measures implemented by the previous immigration minister, I wonder if it's still worth a shot. I like many others do hope to be reunited with my spouse soon!

Thank you. Yeah, June 2023 was the first time we applied for TRV. We referred to our PR file number multiple times and labeled the invitation letter as "Dual Intent - TRV Application". I think the TRV application worked in getting attention on the PR application.
