1. What is the process to activate the Open Work permit that has been given recently to the H1B Visa holders , can we just go at the border and come back.
2. Is an employment letter from a prospective Canadian employer needed.
3. Is payroll in Canada needed ?

Can we visit Canada as a tourist and collect the Work Permit? Or do we need to enter with the intention of finding employment?

Is anyone still waiting for the approval of Canada Work Permit for H1B holders? My Biometrics was completed in mid of August, but I haven't yet received any decision. And the application on IRCC website, just shows the status as Submitted. Are any of you in the same boat? What is the next suggested step in regards to this, as the approval process appears to be quiet delayed?

I am also in same boat my biometrics status changed on Jan 08th and still no update. Did you get update on your application?
