Express entry profile has this question:

Does applicant have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province or territory?

I work as a broker and I had to get my RIBO license (registered insurance brokers of ontario) to practice. Insurance is also a regulated profession. The definition fits everything I'd had to do (get a license from a regulatory body (RIBO) of the province, educate myself, have sufficient training and pass the exam)

Should I putting yes here? Is Insurance a trade? Or does this only refer to Federal Skilled Trades Applicants?

You answer NO. It is not a trade certification. Trade is electrician, plumber which requires education and years of apprenticeship.

I also needed education, training and passing an exam to get my certification from the regulatory body of ontario (RIBO) though.

It's not. This is not a trade so no points for this certification unfortunately.
