I Applied for TRV and below are the updates
Application submitted 13 May 2023
Biometric- 14th June 2023 - completed (I got BIL on 8th June, after repeated email and web-forms)
Eligibility- Not started - We’re making sure that you meet the requirements to be eligible for the spouse, partner or child class.
(I did not apply for spouse, partner, or child class, why this message)
Background check - In Progress - We're checking your background to make sure you are admissible to Canada.
Medicals- Not started

In overall, eligibility has not start but background in progress, do i need to drop them email again or use webform?

The eligibility message will show that even if you didn’t apply for spouse, partner or child class so not to worry.

Medicals might not start at all because you probably don’t need it.

In my case Background check was always in progress but it took a while for eligibility to start.

You can can email them or drop them a web form but you will likely get a generic response. It’s just a waiting game so you’ll just have to keep checking your account for updates. The IRCC is unpredictable!

I applied visit visa online for my brother who is in Pakistan, below is the timeline:-

June 28th Online application submitted
June 30th received BIL
July 10th given Biometric and same date updated on a tracker

Now since then there is no update, haven't received a BVL so far.

Any Idea how long it will take to get BVL?

Hello guys thanks to all who supported me here finally I got PPR request from Abu Dhabi office the passport will be submitted next week in Islamabad visa centre in Pakistan. Can you please guys tell how long it take to get passport back with visa from Abu Dhabi office PPR request 27 July.

June 19 - submitted
June 19 - biometrics letter
June 23 - biometrics completed
June 27 - eligibility started and background check
July 26 - BVL
July 26 - Passport Request

i called CIC and they said, eligibilty completed
said, background check is also completed
but still in progress!!
i asked, if u need any document, pls let me know, they said We don't need!
i said, pls let me know if this is not approved i will try to apply again.
they said, I don't see anything unusual on this account, everything seems fine so far, it just a workload that visa officer is taking time to upload the final decision.
i said, are u sure background is also completed?? she said YES I CAN SEE IT HERE!
I said, but i cant see background check completed in TRACKER??
she said, I CAN VERY WELL SEE IT HERE ITS COMPLETED!!

is there anyone who can throw the light? is there anyone who has worked or is working with CIC may guide me what could have happened? after this how long will it take? its already 41 days past i applied it..

I also have similar timeline, can you confirm if you applied for a visitor visa? Also can you provide the CIC phone number, let me give them a call as well to check the status.

Usually when tracker updates and it says eligibility started, how long after does it usually take in your experience guys?

I have two previous approved applications, and biometrics are already saved in the system and valid for 10 years
