The initial post is asking for NOC for a postdoc fellow, which is now NOC 41200 - University professors and lecturers
see this official link:
https://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&TVD=1322554&CVD=1322870&CPV=41200&CST=01052021&MLV=5&CLV=5

So:
1) If you have a postdoc status, you should choose the same, i.e., NOC 41200 - University professors and lecturers.
2) If you haven't obtained your PhD yet, you should choose NOC 41201 - Post-secondary teaching and research assistants
I have obtained my phd in 2020, but i took this experience during my phd studies.
So can i change my noc code after ITA from NOC code 21110 – Biologists and related scientists to NOC 41201 - Post-secondary teaching and research assistants?
the company that took charge of my case told me that I can't change because they are 2 totally different and unrelated NOC codes!!
what i can do please in this case please

Can you summarize your situation. Under which category did you get your ITA, CEC or FSW? What did you put in your EE, and based on what you get your ITA. We are trying to help, without enough information we can not do much.

For the period:
2020-now, if you are a postdoc, you have to choose NOC 41200.
xxxx - 2020: you were a full time phd student and the NOC that best much your situation is NOC 41201. But, you said that you have a letter from a company indicating another NOC number. Let us know more about this period of employment and whether it is CEC or FSW. Because if you are under CEC, only your current one year postdoc experience matters.

i have receive an ITA under frensh speaker (federal invitation)
no i finished my phd in 2020 and i'm umployed now
My experience is based on my phd studies in the field of biology applicated in physical education
i choose the NOC code 21110 – Biologists and related scientists because all my work in my phd studies was based in research
What i can did now? it is possible to change the noc code from 21110 to 41201?
The immigration company that took charge of my file told me that the 2 NOC codes are very different and I cannot change because it will lead to my file being refused. they told me to ask for a reference letter that works with biologist and related scientist to save my situation. but I'm not convinced because I was a phd student and I think it's not going to work with the noc code 21110

Are you talking about the Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream
: https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontarios-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream

We can read that the candidate have to choose between FSW and CEC streams. The requirements for the two program are a bit different.

Still, I am not able to understand well your situation. Anyway, If you applied under CEC, only your employment after your PhD matters, and it seems it's not a postdoc employment. Postdoc status is when you are still in academia, hired by a professor at a given university. Your NOC is 41200. Otherwise, if you are working outside the university, after your PhD, you are not a postdoc, you are a scientist. In that case, you belong to the NOC of the field. Again, if you applied under FSW, then in this case, you need your working experience during your PhD. IMO, the NOC that corresponds to this situation is well 41201, because it's a research work toward a degree.

What you should do now, depends on what is the requirement you have responded to. For both streams, you have more than one year experience after the PhD, why do you want to include the experience gained while student if the current one is enough?

Hi Marwa,
Generally, it is not recommended to change the NOC after an ITA. The NOC is one of the criterion will be used to determine your eligibility, and may be based on it you got your ITA. Modifying the NOC may lead to a misrepresentation which can have serious consequences on your application and result in a rejection.
Unfortunately, no one can made such a decision at your place. But, IMO, you have two options:
1) Accept the ITA and apply for e-APR: in this case you need to redetermine which NOC reflects better your skills and describe your job duties. It is important to be accurate and honest.
a) If you find that the NOC you used matches your skills and experience, so you are on a right track. No action is needed.
b) If you have any doubts and realize that the NOC you used is not correct and you decide to apply, you have to join a letter of explication and try your best to convince the agent that you have misdetermined the NOC. Just be honest and have some arguments. Of course there is no guaranty, but at least you you'll have peace of mind and avoid a misrepresentation. The agent will evaluate your situation and may be the correction you made will not impact your eligibility.
2) Decline the ITA and wait for another one. Of course, there is no guaranty when you will get another invitation.
