Hello I arrived in Canada on a visitor visa in May 2023, found a job within 3 Weeks, now I applied for LMIA Exempt a work permit. Its been exactly 30 days now.
Can anyone share their timeline and experiences for in canada work permit 2023? I can also give tips on how to find a job and employer to sponsor.

How are you eligible for a LMIA exempt permit if you are inside Canada? LMIA exempt is for company transfers, free trade agreements etc. So you applied for a closed work permit with approved LMIA?

I applied under the French Mobility C16 LMIA exemption.

Thanks,Yes, I submitted a test. But I'm curious because ircc officer told me it doesn't usually take this long as the average is counting backlogs, I'm seeing people get work permits in 30-40 days in 2023. so fingers crossed it will be shorter.

Find an employer willing to give you a job offer & go through the LMIA process proving only you can do the job. Then you can apply for a work permit.

Do you have any family member in Canada for visitors visa ? Do you have good bank statements? Where are you applying from? Are you currently working?

Unless specific high skilled work foreign nationals are not getting WPs in 30-40 days while in a TRV in Canada. You are at the very initial stages and it has already been 45 days with no guarantees of approval.
