Hello Miss Bee, thank you for responding. Did you experience that before transitioning from PGWP to Closed Work Permit? And when you get to C Work Permit, did you qualify for AOS application for PNP? Im from Alberta by the way so thats why I mentioned that AOS as PNP.

What you mean by AOS ? Your remain under same condition on implied status or maintained status. Once closed work permit is approved, your maintained status becomes invalid and your closed worker status comes in effect. If you have AOR for your PNP PR application you can apply for open work permit which is bridging open work permit.
Foreign workers nominated by a province or territory

A person who has a valid nomination from a province or territory for permanent residence and is employed or has a job offer from an employer based in that province may be issued a work permit without requiring an LMIA.
In order for this provision to be applied, the application for the work permit must include:
- the job offer or employment contract;
- a copy of the nomination letter from the provincial or territorial government that confirms that the foreign national has been nominated for permanent residence by the province,
- if the nomination is expired, a copy of the acknowledgement letter confirming that CIC received the PNP application while the nomination was still valid; and
- a statement from the province that it has determined that all factors required for the issuance of a work permit under paragraph 204(c) as per its agreement with Canada have been met, and identifying the occupation and employer information. The required factors include:
- that the nominated individual is urgently required by the provincial-based employer who has made the foreign national a job offer in that province or territory (it should be noted that self-employed persons are therefore not eligible for this type of work permit given the lack of employer-employee relationship),
- that the job offer is genuine and the job offer will create economic benefits or opportunities,
- that the employment is not part-time or seasonal, and
- that the wages and working conditions of the employment would be sufficient to attract and retain Canadian citizens.
No no what I meant to say, by the time Closed Work Permit is in effect, I have to wait for 2-3 months to apply in the PNP given I already that have gained atleast 1 year of high skilled job when I was on a PGWP. I cant apply PNP with PGWP because my education in Alberta no longer meet the eligibility criteria so if I were on a Closed Work Permit, thats when I am eligible to apply in PNP regardless of the education I attained in the past since ircc mainly focus on work experience.
Do you have nomination from Province? If you are gaining experience on PGWP and now applying for closed work permit, you can still use experience while waiting for approval of application.
I didn’t get nominated from the province of Alberta with my pgwp. I cant apply non-express entry application because my education is no longer acceptable. However if I were on a closed work permit, I may be eligible to apply for a non-express entry application.
