You can see my timeline in the signature. LPP in progress ever since I passed my test. Total silence for 4 months now.
By tomorrow 5 months will be completed and my application will enter into 6th month post citizenship test completion.

Type: Online application
Location: NGF
Application: Single
Application sent: Nov 22, 2022
Delivered: Nov 23, 2022
AOR: Dec 6, 2022
Background check complete: Feb 2, 2023
Citizenship test invite: Feb 2/3rd 2023
Test taken on: Feb 10, 2023
Test completed on tracker: Feb 13, 2023
GU: March 2, 2023 (I thought it was a good thing to have this GU- but it turned out to be a ghostly nightmare update  as it is radio-silence afterwards)
LPP: progress
Oath: Progress

I have contacted 1-888-2100 number so many times that they know me by now., LOL
I Contacted NGF-IRCC by email, I sent almost 10 emails. Finally I received a generic reply addressed to my name early this week that the processing is on going.
This process is on-going.

I find it hurtful when others are discussing about citizenship certificates and passports and we are taking about LPPs. Even March 2023 applicant from Montreal and other regions are being invited for Oath ceremonies. I hope the case officer is recovered from COVID and its long term effects.

So you are not alone. It appears that we are the chosen ones with March 2nd GU.

Those who did not get their citizenship within 4 months after applying have got the heaven in the end brother.

Hello, I appeared for the citizenship test on 10th July, cleared it but on the status portal its not updated yet. It still shows 'Waiting on You', I submitted the test and then exited it. Not sure any other step was required from my side.

This is normal. It will take sometime by IRCC to validate and mark your test as completed.

mine took 10 days to update in tracker

Yup. Similar situation here, filed application and gave test a few days after you did though. Paper application, Scarborough office. Just radio silence the test completion got updated.

Any idea if ordering GCMS notes will help? I'm thinking of ordering them nonetheless, been 7 months and frustrating to see other people get done in 4-5 months.

Honestly, I was going to ask the same question. Any experts here recommending GCMS?

Not sure how long does it take. Tracker says to contact IRCC if no information is received 6 days before the oath ceremony.

General timeline is 2 weeks before ceremony... However, if you don't get it 6 business days before ceremony, call IRCC

**UPDATE – July 06, 2023**

We became Canadian Citizens today.

Few things I would like to share with the forum.

  • Oath ceremony was online – Zoom.
  • My 8-year-old didn’t attend the online oath as he was minor.
  • We logged in at 7.40 am. Actual time was 7.45 am. Total time: 1 hr. 45 mins.
  • Requested e-certificate rather than paper mailing. The concerned official is aware of it, and she said she is going to send me link to download citizenship certificate for all three family members after sending signed oath forms.
  • Emailed signed oath forms as a combined pdf to email mentioned in oath document.
Next steps: I will apply passport early next week after receiving e-certificate.

I will post timeline of passport application after we receive Canadian passports.

My timelines are posted in November 2022 applicants spreadsheet.

Thank you all!

I have a couple of questions please. My mom and minor sibling also did the virtual ceremony and requested eCertificates on July 10, 2023. Mississauga office. We sent them the declaration forms same day.

It is now July 13th, 2023 and the Oath has not been marked completed/closed on the online tracker and the eCertificate is still not available on the IRCC portal.

When was your application marked closed on the tracker? I remember it being 2 days after the event. Have you received the eCertificate link? It has been 4 days and nothing.

Our applications closed next day after completing oath ceremony. Tracker shows oath completed on same day; but updated the next day.

For minor, tracker shows oath completed next day; but updated on July 11.

We were able to download e-certs end of the oath date. For minor, we downloaded next day morning. FYI, you will receive separate email on how to download e-cert. It doesn't show up in IRCC tracker portal.

NOTE: did you mention initials of IRCC administrator in the email subject line when sending oath forms? For us, she mentioned to put her initials in subject line so that email directly reaches her.

Thanks and best wishes!
