Dual Citizenship - IRCC letter confirmation

In order to maintain dual citizenship and not automatically lose the citizenship of my home country when I acquire Canadian citizenship, I must complete an application in my home country before taking the oath of citizenship in Canada.

This application requests an official document from Canada as proof that I have an ongoing citizenship application.

I'm wondering how I can obtain this confirmation from IRCC. Has anyone else encountered a similar situation?

Please note that an email from IRCC confirming the receipt of the application cannot be used, as the document from IRCC needs to be authenticated by GAC and then legalized by my embassy.

Try raising a webform with your request and supporting documentation from your current home country asking for such proof. Alternatively, can the final oath email which comes when oath is scheduled not suffice as it is issued by IRCC and has confirmation that you are going to take oath thus confirming the final step in your citizenship application.
