Hello everyone, I need an expert opinion on this matter.

Due to a family emergency, I had to leave Canada on my expired TRV with a valid PGWP. As of today, it has been more than 30 days since I submitted my application for TRV in India. The processing time shows 32 days. I don't know how long it will take. Not able to find someone with the same case as mine but in some of the cases, I'm seeing people on their PR waiting for their TRV for more than 200 days and I don't know if the processing time for TRV in general is the same or different. can someone help me with this?

So first thing people who already have permanent residency in Canada, they don’t need any TRV.
Amd if you really want to go back in India then you can leave without TRV and get it approved while you’re in India.

Yes I know you are not PR as you mentioned in original post that PR applicants are waiting for the results from 200 days that’s why making it clear.
Sorry, I didn’t read the post properly as you are already in India, don’t worry about the processing time, hopefully you will get it soon as 32 days is just an estimate. It’s really hard to predict how IRCC is working on the applications, we can only wait and hope for the best.
Also, I will suggest you to send webforms and also emails to IRCC from now that please process my application faster explaining your situation and tell them about if you have any job in Canada, your work commitments etc., this is what I had done when we were stuck in India during Covid and it helped me to get our last flight back to Canada just before they cancelled all flights from India to Canada.
Best of luck.

Hey Dhillion, a big thanks for the reply and suggestions. My application has already passed 32 days(if i don't count weekends and holidays). What do you suggest? Should i wait few more days or should i contact IRCC and fillout the webform. And if possible can you tell me when did you apply for you TRV in india and how long did it took?

32 days is just a posted average and often incorrect. Some get a TRV within a few weeks maximum if determined by AI. If your application requires a manual review then it typically take around 1-3 months. If you have a job waiting for you in Canada that you can’t do remotely I would contact your MP in Canada and see if they try to get our application processed on a more urgent basis. I would also consider asking your employer to provide a letter indicating that they need you to return back to work asap (if this is true) and provide that information i your MP and IRCC.

So I suggest you to send webform now as they sometimes took longer time to reply also search for IRCC email addresses and embassy’s email where you applied that maybe expedite your application process, I couldn’t remember it exactly but I got my passport back with stamp enough to travel on the last flight I would say within month, also we gave biometrics as never given before that, that made our process longer.

submit your address or postal code into the search and it should tell you who is your MP based on your home/rental. Their website should list ways to contact the MP and their staff.
