Hi everyone,
Need expert advice
I am a permanent resident of Canada and currently I am pregnant, due in september 2023. I am residing in New zealand at the moment with my husband. He is a resident of New Zealand. We want to move to Canada but I am not sure which options do we have at the moment (Visitor Visa or some other visa). He is working full time as a Community Support Worker in New zealand.
Please advise.
I also want to mention that he has study visa refusal from Canada in 2017.
Study visa refusal from Norway.
Visitor visa refusal from Australia in 2022 due to insufficient funds.
Please advise me on this situation.

What's his citizenship? Not a Kiwi passport holder, I assume?.

Based on what you've posted so far, TRV is the only option at this time. It may be difficult to get approved given his refusal history. Make sure he declares all of his past refusals in the TRV application.

He is not a kiwi passport holder. But he got his New Zealand resident visa in 2022.

He holds Indian passport
He needs a TRV to come to Canada. I would apply asap. The posted processing time for TRVs from NZ is currently 100 days. So you are short on time. You should plan for the very high possibility that you will need to travel to Canada first ahead of him. Make sure you're aware of the airline rules for flying when pregnant. Make sure he declares all of his past refusals. Approval is unfortunately not at all guaranteed.

When did you get PR and how many days have you spent in Canada? When did you get married? If you goal is to have your husband with you at the delivery your best solution would be to remain in NZ because the chances of him being able to get a TRV and a TRV in time for you to be able to fly while pregnant are pretty low. You should certainly try but would not count on approval. Do you have a home in Canada? What about savings? Have you only recently come to NZ? Have you been working in Canada? If not you won’t qualify for maternity payment (not enough to live off of normally). Do you have enough savings to live off of for many months? Have you looked into whether you would qualify for healthcare before your delivery if you returned to Canada? To qualify to healthcare you must have a valid health card but also meet the residency requirement to qualify for healthcare in that province. Depending on how much time you have spent in Canada already and how much time you have spent out of Canada you may be required to reapply for a new health card which could mean a wait period of up to 3 months before qualifying for provincial healthcare. What province will you be returning to?
