As part of our citizenship application, my wife has received a request for fingerprints whereas I have not. Is that a normal thing or should I worry?

Yes it’s normal because of couple of reasons and some are like your wife’s name is a common name or with a similar name person with a criminal record etc and one more thing that whenever ircc needs fingerprints and some other documents are considered as a non routine unfortunately because I was one of the unfortunate applicant and have to wait more than other people on the forums

Hi, how did you send your fingerprints?

I have done it through RCMP and they gave me the printout to send it to the address mentioned on the letter I received from IRCC. I have send it through Canada post and as per Canada post it has been received on 29th May. I haven't received any update from IRCC nor my tracker was updated. Curious to know how long it takes to update?

May be, because FP request means they want to run in depth security checks. This could be due to the fact the they have found “something” that they want to investigate more

RCMP told me they sent the results to CIC on May 26th

CIC confirmed they received it on June 30th.
