Happy for @comarxx. As for me, I haven't even received the biometrics request letter, even though I applied for the TRV on the 24th of May 2023, two days before the announcement from Fraser. One of my kids was under 14 when I applied for the spousal PR thing in October 2022 and that kid was exempted at that time and did not provide the biometrics. They turned 14 and now they had to submit the biometrics for the TRV application. I got the biometrics fee request on 2 June 2023 (8 days after submitting the application), paid the fees immediately and uploaded the receipt in the generated document holder field on the GC Key account. A few days later, it said "The required documents have been uploaded" on the GC Key, but other than that, it has been radio silence. So much for the "Honorable" minister's announcement about expedited processing for those with spousal PR applications in advanced stages.

No progress at all. Application seems not even touch or opened up until I saw the PPR each for my spouse and dependent plus the BVL for my wife.

PR tracker, GCkey and Portal not showing any update. Only in portal it say on decision: Application approved June 19, 2023 etc etc plus the documents they need which is PPR and BVL.

Documents submitted: Marriage cert, bank statement, photocopies of passports, business permit for my wife, affidavit in replacement of IMM5604, birth certificates, letter of invitation(format copied from cic).

I put in Sep 6, 2023 to March 3, 2024 as the visit dates. Do I have to follow that date or can he come in sooner or even later? Say October?

Congratulations!

He does not have to follow it. That is a sample scenario only. Once you get the passport with trv he can even fly the same day and just tell the CBSA that he will stay for 6 months or less.

Thank you.

Just to clarify, he does not have to submit photos right? Just his passport?

I am not expert in trv but I do not think so. It does not mention in the letters for my spouse and dependent that photos are needed. They only require the copy of PPR letter, passport, consent for vfs and 1 other thing from vfs, ai forgot what it is. I can ask my wife later what exactly did she submit.
