Funds requried for teporary work visa.

Hi guy,
Can you tell me how much funds are required in bank for family of 3 (1 infant). If I have a paid fellowship can that salary showed on offer letter can be used as eveidence of funds to support in Canada? Additionally, spouse will also be applying for open work permit.

What is the salary and where are you moving to? Estimate paying last and first month’s rent, and costs to set up internet, phone, transportation, food, furniture. Take that amount and show the funds. Do you have day care secured?

Salary CAD 75K yearly in Vancouver, BC.
Day care not secured yet but planned to secure after visa approval. Do you have any suggestions?

That is the most expensive city. Look at getting on daycare lists now. People get their kids on them before birth due to long waiting lists. If living in Vancouver, rent will be 3k per month or more (guessing). So make sure you show you have the funds to pay first/last months rent plus any other expenses. So a minimum of $10k. But you may not have to show any funds.
