Hello,

I'm starting the process for apply for my PR and had a query regarding the Medical Exam proof.

Accoring to canada.ca -

If you have already completed an IME as part of a previous application (for example, to work or study), and currently living in Canada, you may not need to complete another one when you apply for permanent residence.

When the panel physician completed your exam they would have given you an

  • information printout sheet and
  • IMM 1017B Upfront Medical Report form
Please provide a copy of these documents, or your IME number (or unique medical identifier number) from your previous medical exam when you apply online.

I had my medical exam done in 2020 and only received an IME number which I still have, but I don't have the Information printout sheet or IMM 1017B Upfront Medical Report form.

I'm assuming I don't have to get another medical exam. How can I upload just my IME number in the Medical proof section?

Would appreciate any insight. Thank you.

you can write a letter and explain your situation and put the IME number in that letter to submit in the medical section. but I think to be safe just take another exam. A lot of ppl still get required to do a new medical exam.

You can request the clinic for the information sheet which has your UCI, IME. No point to take another medical exam unless IRCC asks you while they are processing your app.

I mean I'll get it if I have to, but I'd avoid it if I can. Hopefully it doesn't cause too many delays though once they ask me
