I applied for work permit on 11th may and it has been more than a month still I have not received acknowledgement email. Is this normal. I called on helpline number and they said that only officer have that info they can only provide the status info on application. I raised web form too but still no response. Anyone can shed light on this?

Yes WP can take around 6 months to be assessed with no guarantees of approval. Not unusual for it to take around 2 months to get AOR.

Thanks. I am worried because everyone in my class who applied for work permit got acknowledgement on the same day.

Have you applied for PGWP. AOR the same day as applying for a new WP. That is not typical.

Do you mean the WP-EXT document or the Submission confirmation document?
