Hi everyone
I got biometric request. Haven’t got sponsorship approval request yet..
Before biometric I was asked to provide updated IMM5768 which also contains application number ( I assume that was AOR)..
Why did I not get sponsorship approval letter yet..Also can’t link application on ECAS

Hi Everyone,

I submitted file for my parents (mom&dad) on Nov 22, 2021. They did their medical in 2022/06/08 then CIC requested additional medical for my dad (Primary Applicant) which he did on 2022/07/12. We have submitted the PCR too which they asked in September 2022.

then in March they asked to send proof of my dads second medical, he did emedical so we only had the receipt of it which we uploaded within 30 days.

Today we received another letter asking my mom to do her medical exam again as its going to expire in June, which she is going for on 27/June and they asked for my dads additional medical exam proof again which we already sent on march.

Anyone on same boat or any suggestions.

My parents are in their 70's and getting very frustrated of going to medicals again and again and they don't live closer to Delhi which is challenging for them in this age.

So far it seems as though things are moving faster for those who have visited Canada on a supervisa. Makes sense since most of the required documents are already in the system.

If it could help anyone in the same boat as me.

I received my invitation on October 14 and applied on Dec 24. I haven't received any correspondence from IRCC since I applied beside the automated response on Dec 24 after applying. I've been trying to link the application to GCKey and last week Wednesday, I was finally able to do it.

I used the last name and passport number since I didn't have the applicant UCI and/or application number. Number of people in the application include sponsor, co-sponsor, principal applicants plus dependents.

I still haven't received any correspondence from IRCC but hopefully things will start moving soon.
I am in the same situation, no email from ircc, and cannot Link the application providing the passport info.

We applied on early Nov and were asked to send the hand signed representative form on early December, which we submitted within a couple of days (sponsor as a representative). We did not hear anything after that, but were able to link the application on early May, using names, passport info and other personal info. We send an AIT-request last week Thursday, to check what is going on. We received email on Monday to submit consent form from parents allowing the sponsor to inquire information on their behalf plus a signed government issued photo id. We submitted that this week. I guess it will take at least 30 days to get update form them if everything goes well. Lets see.
Update on our application:

We received an email suggesting there is/are message/messages in our online account. Online account shows separate messages, pdf letter, requesting biometric and guiding how to get it done, each for the principal applicant and dependents. Note we have not received any correspondence regarding sponsorship approval, AoR etc. This is the first one after we were asked to send a from with the hand written signature.

As of now, we are not able to create an online account with vfs, it just wont send us an account activation email. We have decided to call them to book appointment now.

It seems that there is some kind of issues with vfs system. We were able to create an online account and book an appointment for the next week.

One question question though. should not we get SA/AoR first and then biometric request? Could it be possible, they missed to send SA/AoR. It happened to a friend of mine (in 2009) that they missed to send AoR and he had to do a lot of calls to get AoR after medical was done. Not sure if IRCC still has the same inefficient system in place after 14-15 years.

I think most people got AOR after the biometric .
