Dear Friends,
I came to Canada during 2013 applied for Refugees claim and it was failed on 2017 then I did re appeal ,JR and it was also refused and then got deportation order. then I have applied for H&C on April 2019 then I went through the following process

1. AOR Received on May , 2019
2. Processing my application on August , 2020.
3. Sent Negative Decision on June , 2021.
4. Then I applied for JR on August 2021.
5. Got settlement offer from the court on August 2022.
6. Redetermination on my application on November 2022.
7. Received my Stage 1 approval on April 2023 from Niagara Falls Backlog reduction Office
8. Medical instructions Sent on May , 2023.and they Received on May 2023.

I Would be more grateful if you guys please let me know what would be the next stage and how long it will take me to get stage 2?

Congrats. Request to send in some docs/requirements to be accessed to determine stage 2 approval(if you have not). Time frame for stage 2 varies, as I have noticed. Just be optimistic yours will come soon.

My lawyer had sent all the documents via email to Niagara office, but the only issue right now is my passport possessed in immigration department and it is expired in 2022. now my lawyer requested for passport exemption for my application.

My passport is held by cbsa and it is expired. I already sent a letter stating that we are not in possession of a valid passport and that it is seized by cbsa. Now they are asking for a copy of the bio data page or proof of a passport application? How do I request an exemption? Thanks

I would advise to take a copy of that letter Ircc sent to you and take it to cbsa to request for a copy of bio data page of your passport if possible.

Apply for a passport and show them proof of passport application if you have a reasonable ground that you can’t apply for a passport due to unforeseen circumstances then you apply for an exemption with prove that you can’t apply for a passport.

Passport will not be any issue.
They are aware of the process with refugees.

My lawyer applied for exemption in my case. You can not apply for passport without the expired booklet and CBSA will not release the ceased one till you get PR or you are leaving Canada.

So by applying for an exemption you mean just write a letter to ircc? Or is there a form to filled for exemption?

Finally good news came today
My lawyer got my AIP at his office mailing address.It came today from Vancouver office.
How long does my COPR take from now on.
