June 9 is the convocation. I have already crossed the processing time which shows 95 days but will apply next week just gathering documents as my application to graduate was pending and got approved this week. I am very thankful for your advice, will work on my letter.
How much funds are required by parents for visitor visa for 2-3 months stay. Please help

My mother is a housewife and has never worked anywhere but in the new IRCC portal..it displays work history mandatory otherwise I am unable to move further? If I insert homemaker they are asking to input a date? Kindly please clarify how to enter this information.
depends whether staying in hotel or accomodation being provided by the canada host,
have 1.5x of lump sum that covers airfare, visa fees, food and livign expenses, travel expenses in canada, hotel stay.
You still should be able to show that you have the funds to at least stay at a hotel temporarily if you are planning on staying with family. There have been situations where there is a family breakdown and families refuse to keep hosting so IRCC wants to ensure that if this happens the person isn’t destitute on the streets of Canada.

1. But the caveat is they are not seasoned funds like from past 6 months or before that. We will be transferring them before doing the application. Will it be safe to do so before few days of applying?
2. And also I am planning to write a strong letter of invitation saying that I will provide accommodations and all the other expenses by providing my bank statement and salary slips.
Will both the above things & 12000 CAD be sufficient or do I need to show anything else to make my case stronger?

How long is visit? Funds are just one piece. She needs to show her ties to return.
1. So they are your funds and you are transferring into her account? She will have to say where the funds came from if she is not working and payslips don’t match deposit. This is a red flag for IRCC and “dumping” the funds serve no purpose if they are your funds. You show your bank statements. She needs to show a balance over 4 months.
2. That is fine but you should still say she has funds for a visit.
