Expiry of Super visa

Hello All

My mother's supervisa is expiring on Nov 23, 2023 and she is currently in Canada. I have applied for her H&C visa on 11th April 2023 through a lawyer. I have the following questions:

1. Do we have to apply for a new supervisa given that we are awaiting judgement on her H&C application?
2. Do we have to apply for her new supervisa only when she is outside Canada?
3. Can new supervisa be applied only after Nov 23, 2023?
4. Is there a way to extend her stay beyond Nov 23, 2023 (date of expiry of super visa)? If yes, what is the process and how much does it cost and how much extension can be expected?

Any suggestions or experiences of members will be highly appreciated.

A new super visa will not keep her status legal in Canada. She needs to try to apply to extend her visitor status in Canada instead. Follow this process: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/extend-stay.html

Since she has applied for PR under H&C, there is a good chance the extension will be refused and she will fall out of status in Canada. If this happens, she will need to remain in Canada without status until a decision is made in her H&C application.
