Hello lovely people, hope everyone is doing good .

Well i got a notice that my case went from less complex case to regular hearing . I appreciate if people can share tips or their experiences of their hearing . Although i do have a really good lawyer which he said he will prepare me for it and they will do even a mock hearing with me but i still hearing other people's experience also helps.
Im extremely nervous, have not slept in two days straigh since my lawyer informed me.
My hearing most probably gonna be in September and my lawyer said we collected good evidence.

So any tips and guidances will be appreciated

I think what is most important is that you are really familiar with your BOC and you are able to speak to the details of that confidently.

I had a similar case from less complex to regular hearing and with the minister’s intervention . That minister’s representative was the most difficult person I have ever seen. He asked questions about the NGO I was working for and I gave him all the explanations I had to but at the end he told me he was not convinced . The judge or IRB member asked questions and was apparently happy with my answers and at the end she said she is the one who is going to decide on the matter. The minister’s representative and I must wait for the results but seriously I was astonished with his questions that did not make sense and the judge sometimes interrupted him. To be short just be ready and know your story inside and out.

I have received my decision now from the poste.. I’m a protected person. I defended myself without a lawyer against the minister’s representative and I was sure I was going to win, I’m very happy for this accomplishment and my advice trust yourself , read your story and tell it without any fear. And last thing let your emotions out if possible.

Workpermit : January 2023
Less complex case in February 2023 with a hearing in March 2023.
Hearing cancelled due to serious credibility issue raised by the minister’s representative.
April 2023:less complex case turned into regular hearing with the ministers intervention for June 05.
I was about to ask if they could cancel it and give me some time to find a lawyer but I finally decided to go to the hearing.
June 05, 2023 : hearing.
June 10, 2023: positive Notice of Decision.

It's been 3 months no updates, feeling worried.

These are normal delays. It could take months until you hear about while it is decided whether your case is less complex or not. It is not unusual for people to wait 2 years for a hearing.

Congratulations bro. Good for you. I really hope i get mine in August. Im so stressed although my lawyer assured me we ve got a strong case. But the fact that you won without a lawyer and your case is similar to mine, that gives me hope that i can get it too. I do know my story inside out.

Dont worry, if your story is strong. Regular hearing should not be a problem. Did you get letter about this changing? And What did your lawyer say about this? i know a lot of people won with regular hearing. What is your country of origin?
