work reference letter- NOTARIZATION ISSUE

Hi,

To get the work experience reference letter notarized, can i sign it in front of notary and he signs it OR my supervisor also has to be present
and he signs it in front of notary ?
My supervisor is staying in Chennai and not possible for him to be physically present in Bangalore.
Pls tell me the exact process of notarization as the reference letter has been sent from his official mail id to my official mail id.

i think there is no requirement to get notarized employer reference letter...senior experts may highlight pretty well...

I have seen on this forum that some people did got pr without letter being notarized & attached business card or company card of person signing the letter. They also did attached proofs that Hr or employer won't give on letterhead,by using email conversation etc.

No need to notarize work letter. As long as its on company letter head, with
- your name
- job title
- date you started working there, and date employment ended if applicable
- hours of work per week
- gross salary per month or annual
- name of direct superviser or manager
- list of duties and responsibilities matching your NOC code
- his name at the end with signature, date, and company stamp/seal, his phone number and email

just in case the letter is a personal reference letter issued by ur senior (as you may have failed to get the one from company HR),then it will be a good idea to get it notarized...
& You've to check your boss's convenience & then fix up an appointment with a notary public in Chennai near ur boss's office ,and travel down there....
You can't get him to banglore but you can travel to Chennai right...
& Would you let a day's travel come in the way of a big dream...
Canada by flight is 14hrs non stop...Chennai an hour or two

& By the way, I don't know how far an email reference letter will work...a signature & seal etc in original are things ircc might be interested in...
I suggest you travel to Chennai,get it printed on a legal size paper (not A4 - to leave space for notarization) and take it to the notary alongwith ur boss,sign in front of notary & he'll notarize saying it has been signed in his presence....
If it is company hr issued on letterhead (again I seriously doubt if email will work) then like a previous reply notarization isn't required at all...

Why not send it to Chennai - you don't need to sign it, he does. It's his letter, right.

Absolutely no need to notarize. It is meaningless. I don't know who asked people here to do it. I believe it is a trend similar to wrapping your bags in plastic to travel type bs.

Already answered it. Notary is still not needed. IRCC has not specified on notarized work experience letters requirements.
- Get the communication from HR in written that they don't/can't provide the letter from their official email - Important!
- Your ex-manager/teammates can provide the roles and responsibilities from the company's official email id along with their contact numbers.
- LOE - most important tool to explain why you couldn't provide the letter
- Proofs of your employment : Salary slips, offer letter, exit letter etc to prove that you worked there

Notarization has no meaning for work letters considering your employer is not the one attesting them.

There is no format as there is no standard. I got mine notarized. It will have notary stamp, signature, date.
