Passport expired by the time approval was received for Canada Tourist visa

Hello,

We had applied for Canadian tourist visa for my mother-in-law last Jul (2022) from USA and also completed her biometrics in the same month. But the update to submit passport for visa came through late Nov by when she had gone back to India. Also her passport expired in Jan 2023 which we now have renewed.
She is going to visit us again in USA next month and I am trying to figure out what next steps can be taken to get her tourist visa approved/stamped on her passport so we can visit Canada this summer.
I have tried filling in the webform and attaching copy of her latest passport to the online application (which still shows the status in progress) but haven't received back any responses yet.
Could someone please help/guide me with next steps forward? It's been challenge to find phone number or email or find help questions to get recommendations from IRCC.

The webform is really the only way to request status on the existing application and see if IRCC will still stamp her passport.

I would consider reapplying as well. You're responding very late (over six months) and IRCC may consider the application closed (regardless what the status says online).

Thanks scylla, I had submitted webform back in early Feb when I received last correspondence from IRCC and couple more in past one month but have not received any responses to any of the queries/ messages.

Regarding reapplying -Do you know what are the steps to do it -

Can I start fresh new application under same IRCC account with new passport information?
Do I need to pay the fees again?

You need to pay the fee again if you reapply. I can't answer the other questions.
