Job points with an open work permit

I arrived in Canada a year ago from Ukraine with a temporary visa (CUAET) and an open work permit (without LMIA or exemption number).
Now I have a year of Canadian experience and I continue to work for the same employer. The job is full-time and permanent.
Recently I created my Express Entry profile and it shows that I'm eligible for Canadian Experience Class, but I don't have enough points to cross the cut-off line.
I'm wondering if my current job can be shown as a job offer or if it should be a new offer only. My current job is shown in the work history (as a current job) and I tried to add it to the block "Intent to work in Canada", but it requires LMIA or some kind of exemption in my work permit, even if I set it as an open one.
My IELTS score is 7.5 and it won't help me a lot if I'll try to increase it. My French is not good enough to take a test. No relatives here. So my only hope is for job points.
Can I do something in this situation?

You only state that you have a job offer if you have a LMIA. There is no way to get points with just a job offer.

You'll need to speak to your employer to see if they are willing to go through the process of getting an approved LMIA. As said above, that's how you would be able to qualify for the 50 points.

Learning French may be the better / more realistic option for you to increase your points. Many employers unfortunately aren't willing to go through the LMIA process. But by all means, have that conversation with your employer to see if they are open to this.

I was hoping that there is some kind of exemption I could apply. Not sure if the second language can give me enough points.
Ok, will try to talk to my employer. Thank you.

Unfortunately there's no exemption in this situation since you are on an open work permit. The LMIA is mandatory if you want to claim the 50 job offer points.
