Hello,

Is it be possible for my wife to apply for a student visa while my permanent residence application is in process? She intends to study in the same province from where my nomination is.

She's already in my PR application but we don't want to wait anymore for the PR and instead want to apply for her student visa as well. Is this doable? Any personal experience greatly appreciated.

Yes, she can apply for a student visa. Make sure she picks a program that aligns to her previous education / work experience and is a higher level of studies than she has completed to date.

Thank you for your message @scylla.

I went to two immigration consultants and they both gave me mixed responses about this matter. Are you able to point me to a reference about your message? If not, that's okay. Thank you.

There is nothing on the IRCC website that specifically addresses this scenario.
