BC PNP Tech Pilot. Proof of funds required??

Hi,

I am an inland applicant who received an ITA to apply for EE under BC PNP. I applied for PNP under the tech pilot scheme,

I am already working for the same employer listed on my job offer and have been employed by them for over 3 years. As a result of this I believed I was exempt from having to provide proof of funds, and that a letter of explanation stating I have a valid job offer would suffice,

Is there anyone out there who applied for the tech pilot that could confirm whether POF are required or not?

Thanks!

I'm assuming you mean when you get to the IRCC Federal stage?

I'm just going from my own experience here, as I got nominated under Tech Pathway (Alberta) PNP stream - and had CEC as my sub qualifier.

I've been with my company for nearly 4 years now, originally on a Closed Work Permit with LMIA, and now currently on a SOWP. I did not submit any POF, however I did submit about 12 months worth of Pay Stubs and my T4's for the last 3 years, along with a LOE explaining that I did not need POF because I qualified under CEC as well. Eligibility for me was recently marked off as completed, so they were happy with that.

Yes at the IRCC stage.

thanks for your response, I can definitely upload pay stubs and T4s for the past few years. Sounds like a LOE of explanation stating I am exempt as well as the proof you mentioned should be enough as I was only eligible for CEC as the sub qualifier.

Under your IRCC EE Profile, does it show that you meet any of the other programs? I'm going to assume CEC at minimum?

Aside from the section that now shows I meet PNP the only other program I meet is CEC

Below is an example of how it appears on IRCC (could not link in an image, so I replicated in Excel)

Yep you should be fine then. That's exactly what mine looked like. As long as IRCC confirms during the eligibility checks that your current NOC is either 0,1, 2 or 3 then there should be no problems. If they re-assess then you won't qualify for CEC and won't pass eligibility. Just for reference my NOC is 22220 (Computer Network and Web Technicians).

But yeah, this is all from my personal experience. I still had an immigration consultant check over everything before I submitted (I did all the hard work, they just did a check on all the documents I was submitting)

Awesome, thank you for you responses! I am confident they will, my job code is "22310 –Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians" I will be taking the same approach as you and getting these looked at by an immigration consultant before submitting
