Can I cancel my study permit extension application after applying for PGWP?

My study permit was valid till 30th April and my study was also supposed to get completed in April. However, I had the apprehension that I might not get my transcript and completion letter before my study permit expires. Hence I applied for a study permit extension which is still in progress. Meanwhile, I got both the transcript and completion letter before my original study permit expiration and I applied for PGWP also before 30th April. Now I have two pending applications - one study permit extension application and one PGWP application. Now I don't want any study permit, need only the work permit. What should I do now? Cancel the study permit extension application. Has anyone been in this situation before? Also in this situation, can I start working full-time?

I contacted IRCC abd requested them to cancel my study permit extension application , they have told me I can work even though my extension application is not canceled yet because i applied for pgwp before the expiration of my original study permit

I got this reply from someone with another thread..
Its quite confusing don’t know what to do.

You have to quit working the moment you get your transcripts from your college since this can lead to a refusal for your extension. It would be a direct violation of your study permit conditions. Until you don't get the pgwp don't work to be on the safe side

When did you graduate from your course including proof of graduation from the school? If after April 30 then you need the study permit extension or else you will be out of status. Unfortunately the IRCC customer service agents can give incorrect information over the phone. Always get things in writing from them.
