Hi everybody,

This my situation: My minor will be 18 years old in three months, and I am in the process to apply for citizenship and I want to include her as minor. So now, I am wondering if her age will be lock in by the time I sign the application, and she will be treated as minor until the end of the process. Certainly, by the time I have a date for the citizenship test, she will be adult, and I don't know if she has to update her application to be treated as adult.
What do you think should I do? Wait until her become an adult and apply together, or take advantage that she is still minor and apply now, so she can skip the process of taking he citizenship test when she will at the university with busy schedule.
Any experience, thoughts, pro and cons?

Thank in advance

Age at the time of application is locked in. My daughter went through this but we had a year's margin.

On the contrary, IMHO, it is important for youngish immigrants to read about the country they are calling home and therefore should give the test. Taking / reading about the citizenship test is unlikely to make a significant dent in the university schedule. A significant number of students work while in undergrad courses anyway.
