In GCMS notes, can we use different email address than the one which we have given in our application? Can we request for GCMS on more than one email address?

Requesting GCMS notes has no relation to your application processing. You can file them using any email.

I constantly keep seeing many people asking how to order gcms notes; although it's been answered hundreds of times on this forum. This is courtesy of Kinza_Bee and many other contributors on how to order GCMS NOTES!

How to apply GCMS / ATIP notes.
Only a person who is in Canada can request the notes. Get your sponsor to request on PA'S behalf!

If principal applicant is in Canada, he/she can request for himself and apply for free under Privacy Act.

If sponsor is requesting it on behalf of Principal applicant, you need consent form from PA and $5 fee. You can receive consent form from spouse via email and upload it. Apply under Access to Information Act.

It takes about 30 days to receive by email. It is a ~30 pages document (can be more than 30 pages)

Consent form:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp

Section A - Principal Applicant details
Section B - Sponsor's details
Section C - Sponsor's details

GCMS Notes:

Since I did not have anyone in Canada, I usually applied though gcmsapply.com (Thankfully I got it from reddit r/immigrationcanada forum), charges around $6 per application. It has very straight forward online application form, hardly takes 2 minutes to fill out. I have always received with in 21 to 27 days.

Can you do it if your inside Canada?
When I’m reading more about it, it says the person should be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and my sister neither applied to her. She’s inside Canada as a visitor right now.

Hi, sorry for probably a repetitive question.

I understand waiting time for GCMS notes is 30 days. But does someone know do they show state of the file closer to the request date (today) or date on which I would receive them?
In other words, does it take 30days to issue the notes or just to get them? If you understand me!

Thanks

Please can someone help me I am new here and I really didn't understand the GCMS notes so I went to click on complete file, instead of GCMS notes, and that was 35$ plus tax, came up to 47$ then I saw I have to print the form and sign it, and then upload it on web form. Is there a way I can get back my money or I can just forget about this whole notes thing cause I really don't understand.
