Hello, does a previous bankruptcy matter at all regarding canadian immigration?
Do they ask about it?

Which type of immigration are you asking about? TRV or PR? For EE, that's not something we have to answer. If you have maintained POF over the last 6 months, you are good for EE.Hello, does a previous bankruptcy matter at all regarding canadian immigration?

I'm not sure what TRV is. I'm coming on temporary work permit and than I'm planning to apply for PR probably thru PNP or some federal program.Which type of immigration are you asking about? TRV = Temporary Visa. WP is also a temporary visa. I'm not required to have proof of funds as I have a job offer.
I heard that there is questions about previous bankruptcy?
I read it, it's a different case. Also read a few other ones and still don't have an answer.TRV = Temporary Visa. WP is also a temporary visa. Read an old thread on this topic here: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/work-permit-with-bankruptcy.681815/
As I said before, there are no questions specific to bankruptcy on PR. Although, we are asked to declare debt that we have on our POF - I don't know if bankruptcy and debt are same or different(in front of IRCC).I read it, it's a different case. Some people say it will, some people say it won't.
I haven't filed a bankruptcy in Canada, but somewhere else.
So my question is : is there a question about previous bankruptcy on TWP application and then on PR application?
And if there is then what happens if the applicant did file bankruptcy in another country?
No bankruptcy and debt are not the same thing. Bankruptcy is a debt relief. Once discharged you are debt free.As I said before, there are no questions specific to bankruptcy on PR. Updated my comment, I mean't infront of IRCC. I mean, I don't know how IRCC views bankruptcy. No bankruptcy and debt are not the same thing. Bankruptcy is a debt relief. Once discharged you are debt free.
As I said, no such questions about previous bankruptcy in PR application. They only evaluate debt for POF to make sure your POF is genuine.Does anyone know if there is questions about previous bankruptcy in other countries on temporary work permit and/or on PR application?
And what if someone has filed a bankruptcy in another country? Does it matter?
The answer is NO. It wont affect your PR Application as long as you meet Proof of Fund requirement.Does anyone know if there is questions about previous bankruptcy in other countries on temporary work permit and/or on PR application?
