Work history and education history for spouse and for principal applicant post ITA if not claiming points

Hello everyone,

I have read many threads about it and it seems the consensus is:
In your work history and education history, be it for principal applicant or spouse, put only what you claiming points for (the same as you put in your EE profile) and the rest in the personal history (if it happened in the past 10 years).
Which means that for some spouses you will put nothing in education history or work history because you are not claiming any points for these. I find that a bit misleading because in reality our spouse or ourselves do have more education or work history than what we put in those rubrics. However I understand that if you put them in these categories there is a high chance you will be asked for documents even though it is not adding any points or you do not need those points. (although I saw a video where a lawyer recommended to put everything in education and history and provide documents even if not adding or needing points, this seems a lot of waste of time to me)

In my personal case, my spouse has education that was done more than 10 years ago and that we are not claiming points for, which means if I follow the recommendations we will put nothing in education history and it will not appears in personal as it has been more than 10 years.

Wanted to confirm that is what people have been doing ? Can someone that did not put anything for work or education for their spouse confirm that it went well like that ?
And for people that did it that way, did you mention anything in a LOE to say that since you not claiming points you did not put anything in work or education history ??

Yes, you need to provide history for last 10 years. Particularly, in personal history you can add additional activities and for which documents will be optional. Because, personal history section is self-explanatory.

Well, if you follow this strategy then it has to be supported with a LOE as a strong recommendation.

Thank you ! Yes I know history is for past 10 years. My spouse education was done more than 10 years ago so if I do not put it in education history it will appear nowhere but I will just mention in LOE that since we were not claiming points for it it was not included in the education history.
