Hi All

I am on LMIA Exempt Closed work permit and my visa is expiring on October 2023 . My company will be filing for extension soon with new job offer . Can I claim 50 points for valid job offer for express entry when extension is filed in IRCC or should I wait till the extension is approved ?

You can claim the points now as long as you've already worked for your employer for a full year in Canada.

Make sure they are also willing to give you a letter stating that they will continue to employ you for a year after you become a PR.

Thank you for the details .
I will be getting job offer which will will have the details stating that job offer will be valid for a year . I can get a reference letter as well .
Should I get any other document from employer that mentions about supporting PR ?
