Why apply for citizenship if this country is a joke? You are a Joker? You very well know who are the culprits here and yet calling the whole country a joke is totally uncalled for.
By your previous post seems like you are already in the "best country in the world" - USA! Why "honor" a country which is a joke with your citizenship?
This country is indeed a joke. But it's OUR joke. It's the right of citizenship to criticize one's own nation and call a spade a spade.
Put another way, one can t complain about any other country where you don't live. The whole "if you don't like it then bugger off" thing is absurd.
I disagree. There are a lot of great things in this country. Just cause we are facing hurdles in our citizenship application, doesn't mean everything else is faulty and calling the country itself a joke is insulting. Every country has its pros and cons.
Besides that person is probably passport shopping in Canada. They are living in US, if am correct based on their previous post/s.
There's a whole lot of things wrong with this country and its not just a right to complain about it, but a duty. How else can a nation improve? And good things don't balance out the bad.
There are many backward countries where criticism will lead you to prison for "anti national" statements. Canada isn't one of those countries but unfortunately many immigrants come with that attitude brainwashed into them.
Bottomline: You can criticise your own nation in order to improve it. You don't have to be a proud Canadian. I hang my head in shame at bodies of native women found daily in Garbage dumps. For native people, this country is indeed a joke. Now tell me Sir, where do you plan to deport indigenous people to for complaining? Mars?
Because I paid taxes for the past 8 years and I went through the process just like any other applicant. It is a joke because just this morning I called IRCC and they said everything is on track for tomorrow and within one hour, I received cancellation email. It is a joke because Canada is called a developed country, meanwhile people are stuck for over two years to get citizenship but a refugee can fly in with no problem - still taxpayers pay for their tickets and life expenses...
Yes one can criticize but how is just calling a whole country a joke helping anything? Did he mention the specific issues? Did he mention the racism? Did he mention the conservatives mimicing the reptards and trying to play the same games here as they are doing in US? No, he called the whole country a joke. That is just a plain useless and insulting comment. If they were to point out the exact issues in Canada, then I agree, they probably are criticizing the country. So sir, I still don't agree to them calling Canada as a whole a joke.
No updates for me yet. They will probably be triaging their email inbox for the next couple weeks.
Given that they were "striking" so hard for 1.5 weeks, they'll probably take it slow this week - take nap breaks, coffee breaks and walk breaks - as the weather has gotten better. Between all that, they might be inclined to work on triaging lol.
