Dang that’s really frustrating I have tickets to visit family at September now I feel like it won’t happen.

why the background check takes so much time
I travelled outside Canada last week. If your temporary status and visa are still valid when you return, travelling shouldn't be a problem and shouldn't affect the PR application much. At least that's what IRCC answered me on twitter.

Actually? That’s awesome, I have an open work permit and my visa will still be valid until December 2023 so you are saying It won’t affect my application if I’ll travel for like two weeks?

I didn’t know you can ask IRCC stuff on Twitter LMAO that’s great

Yeah IRCC on twitter is pretty much the only way you can communicate with them about some generic information. They usually reply within 1-2 business days.

Hi,i got request to send IMM5669E for verification, the link they provided shows IMM5669F, can somebody mark your advise ,should I go for IMM5669E or IMM5669F.They also asked for original signature on it ,does it mean I need to download the form and sign it?

2. If you maintained another address during the vacation (ie in Canada) then a vacation (less than 6 months) doesn't impact your address history. You will be mentioning the vacation and it's length on another form in the relationship documentation.
does anyone know the expiry of a PR Visa. With in how many days we have to be in canada after we received the Copr?

Hi there! We applied for Conjugal Partner sponsorship last May 2022.

My Eligibility started on Oct. 13, 2022 and completed in April 4, 2023.
Background verification started on April 19. I checked the PR tracker last April 26th and my Eligibility was once again updated to "in process" together with the Background Verification. I just checked the tracker again and the Background verification was completed last April 27th.

Does anyone else encountered this? I'm very worried..:(

Pretty sure it’s due to the on going strike in CA government agencies.

I wouldn’t expect any significant updates regarding cases unless you fall under the category of “emergency applications”

I was at the end of my PR and was right before final approval (according to my immigration consultant) and that strike screw me, at least I got a work permit.

any updates on the eligibility process and Background check for people? i am getting so frustrated with this, i need to get OHIP so i can start seeing doctors without breaking the bank, I got a working permit but my employer is based in BC so i don't know what to do.

Can i still apply for OHIP and might get it? my wife is a citizen, we live in Toronto for over a year now and im with an open work permit.

It’s very frustrating it’s been 6 months and nothing on my application. Eligibility been in progress since January and no update. Only a few ghost updates here and there. Application submitted inland June 2022. So frustrating I would love to know about OHIP as well. Here in Ontario

So i just got off the call with Service Ontario and she said that if im married to a Canadian citizen and have proof of applying for PR i can get OHIP Card, so i guess i just need AOR and go with my passport and marriage cert to the nearest Service Ontario and they will give me a OHIP Health Card.

Thanks. I will try that tomorrow for sure. Is it the same if married to a Permanent Resident?
Hmmm good question but i do not know, my wife was born here and that's what i said to the woman on the phone, this is the number i called you better call and check:
