Citizenship: Fingerprinting to Background Clearance

Hi All,

My fingerprints were received by IRCC on January 18, 2023. Since then its radio silence as far as the background clearance is concerned. Is anyone else in the same boat? Is there anything to do apart from waiting? And is this normal? Grateful for any insights.

To your point "Received by IRCC on January 18, 2023" are you referring to the status on the IRCC tracker correct ?
Did you reach out to RCMP to enquire if they have already shared the results of the FP with IRCC ?

My personal experience was that I have FP through a RCMP agency here in the GTA on Mar 12, 2021 the application tracker was updated to received on Mar 14 2021 itself.
Called up RCMP to enquire if they have sent the FP results to IRCC, they said it will be "mailed" to IRCC on Mar 28 and advised to follow-up with IRCC after a week/10 days.
Eventually the IRCC tracker was updated and BG check was completed on Apr 24, 2021
