Refugee to Spousal PR

I’m wondering if i can apply for spousal PR when I’m in the process of refugee PR? And what happens if i get my confirmation from refugee pr but don’t move forward until i get pr through spousal PR?

You remain a protected person no matter what and face the limitations as a protected person. When did you apply for PR as a protected person? Why would you like to change to applying for spousal sponsorship? You should do one or the other not both? What benefit will you have from applying for spousal sponsorship if your PR application is already in process?

Are you a protected person? You only mentioned applying for refugee PR (I assume you are referring obtaining PR as a protected person) which would imply that you were already a protected person.

If you have not received asylum you should expect to face quite a lot of scrutiny about spousal sponsorship. How long have you lived in Canada? How long have you been in a relationship? Do you live together?

There is exception to the change in country situation for protected person, and once you become pp you continue to be one regardless whether you later become pr through spousal sponsorship.
