Does working as a full-time contractor counts as self-employed or not? (Foreign experience)

Hello, on my express entry profile, on my previous job, I included the company where I worked (outside Canada) (I did not check the mark for self-employed as I did not consider myself like that).

At this company, I was a contractor. My contract states my hourly salary, the dates, etc.; I billed them monthly and worked full-time (+37 hours weekly) just for them, no other companies.

Under this definition from the IRCC, I should be considered an employee but not sure now.

However, now I am not sure if the time there will be considered self-employed because I was not a regular employee but rather under a contract.

In the case it is considered self-employment, will that affect my overseas work experience points? I have already claimed points for that and received an invitation to apply.

Quite a bit of missing info here. Are you inside Canada? Most countries required self employed workers to file an entity to bill companies. The taxes you pay are also based on whether you are an employee or a contractor (self-employed).

Hi,

May I know if you went ahead with your application as being employed for the foreign work contract job?
