While I was busy ranting to a TD insurance agent re auto insurance, my husband told me he received an email from IRCC and I just nod. Lol. Guys! I received the golden email!!!

Tracker still shows in progress and bg verification still shows not started. Yesterday was our 2nd year here in Canada. When I passed the medical last week, I already felt that we would receive the golden email this week. Thank you, Lord. Today is the day! Almost 6 months.

Ordered CSIS note and confirmed that security screening for my spouse and me was in progress since Jan 18, 2023. And it is probably a comprehensive security screening.

Are you sure it‘s CSIS notes you are talking about and not CBSA? My CSIS notes look like a one pager with just a mention that info about candidate was searched and nothing was found. It’s 1 sentence only, no mention like ”In progress”, “Passed” or so on.

Sorry it’s CBSA note. I also received CSIS note which contains two letters to my spouse and me saying that the were processing our security screening.

Have you checked the IRCC tracker? There might be more activities and details.

It shows 0 tasks. The last activity took place was in the month of November as per the tracker.

Same here, there's no update since 20/03/2023

20 of March timestamp is just a glitch. If you would raise a webform, eventually it will pop up under your name’s Activity and with the date in April. So just ignore this time stamp. It is also unlikely that the Tasks list ever gets anything - at least I didn’t hear anyone reporting that since the moment this tracker became open for FSW stream with dependants in Feb23.

Hey! How did you reach out to an IRCC agent? It’s seems impossible for me to call them. I’m told “Sorry, we can’t transfer your call”.
Any advice?

MEP on Dec 13, 2022 And no updates ever since.

On the tracker, only medical exam indicates completed, Biometricshows in progress, eligibility and background check show not started yet.
Is this normal?
I have now exceeded the standard processing time and can’t get to talk to an IRCC agent for more info.
Anybody else in this situation? Thanks

According to the IRCC Website, processing time FSW is 27 months. Even though Shaun Fraser said they're going to try and get all EE applications in under 6 months. Unfortuntely, IRCC Call Center will tell you that it is still 27 months processing and to just wait and be patient.
